When it comes to shopping for fall, I’m all about setting my wardrobe up with strong staples. When tossing on tons of layers, you need a well rounded mix of scarves, sweaters & other fall friendly pieces that will mix and match easily. I’ve teamed up with to bring you my 5 fall favorites below.
Neutral Coats: I’m all about investing in a camel or cream coat because it beats your basic black for fall. Plus black has always felt more winter to me and lighter colors are prettier to play with when matching up warm fall colors.
Other cute coats:
Gray Sweater: Hang on to busting out your black for that first snowflake to fall. Right now the color of the season is gray!
Other gray greats:
Black & Whites: Okay fine. If you are itching to bring black into the picture, the best way is to match it up with your summer whites. I don’t know about you, but I went a little crazy with buying tons of white this summer. My favorite thing to do now is layering in black to offset the summery feel of wearing white. The best is to toss on that camel coat to add a rich feel to your look.
More black & white basics:
Statement Scarves: I tend to dress on the more conservative side, staying clear of prints. My way of bringing in some pattern play during the autumn season is to bust out a statement scarf.
