Lifestyle 1 year ago Holiday Card Do's and Don'ts
One of my favorite holiday rituals is sitting down to write my holiday greeting cards.
I am such a big fan of snail mail and often times I will find myself sitting in this spot hand-writing personal letters and thank you notes to clients. A lot of people do not know this about me, but the only thing I collect from my travels are hotel pens! I have always kept a cup of hotel pens from all of my favorite trips on my desk to remind me of my adventures which makes writing holiday cards feel that much more special.
I assume many of you will be sitting down to write down your own holiday greeting cards soon, so I’ve put together a little list of etiquette Do’s and Don’ts.
DO be sure to write a short note inside, even if it’s just a phrase.
DON’T forget to be sensitive to all holidays. A neutral “Seasons Greetings” or “Happy Holidays” is your best bet to keep things appropriate.
DO send them in the mail by December 8th to ensure they arrive on time.
DON’T forget a return address on the envelope
DO write the recipients name inside of the card
DON’T use printed address labels
DO include a photo if you want
